Árbol

Árbol, an Argentine alternative rock group from Haedo in Greater Buenos Aires, was formed in late 1994. The initial lineup included Matías "Chávez" Méndez on drums, Eduardo Schmidt on violin and vocals, Hernán Bruckner on guitar, and Patricio Pizarro on bass. Influenced by bands like Faith No More and Mano Negra, Árbol began performing in the underground scene. Árbol's debut album, Jardín frenético, was released in 1996 after recording sessions at El Matadero Records. The group signed with Surco Records in 2000 and released their self-titled second album, Árbol. Their breakthrough came with Chapusongs in 2002, featuring hits like "Cosacuosa" and "La vida", which propelled them to popularity. They toured extensively across Argentina and Uruguay, collaborating with bands such as Molotov.
In 2004, Árbol released GUAU!, produced by Gustavo Santaolalla. That same year, Eduardo Schmidt left the group, leading to the release of Hormigas in November 2007 and No me etiquetes in October 2009. After a hiatus from 2010 to 2017, Árbol returned with new singles like "Tiembla el piso" and "La vida es todo lo que vos quieras". The group continued releasing albums such as Hongo in September 2022 and Árbol en Obras in December of the same year.
