David Kristian, born on November 5, 1967, is a Canadian composer, musician, and sound designer. He started his career in audio for media in the early 1980s as an animation and experimental filmmaker at a New Brunswick TV station. Relocating to Montreal, he focused on music, initially as a solo artist before joining Psyche, with whom he recorded "The Influence" in Germany. Kristian left Psyche in late 1989 to concentrate on ambient and instrumental music. He released several albums including Synaesthesia (1994) and Cricklewood (1997), and also contributed to the film score of Karim Hussain's Subconscious Cruelty, and feature films including Ascension and Morris County. Additionally, he has composed for video games like Watch Dogs (2014) and Watch Dogs 2 (2016), working exclusively for Ubisoft as an audio artist.
