Early work included backing vocals for Jimmy Cliff, Judy Mowatt, Beres Hammond, Dennis Brown, and Peter Tosh, often alongside her sister Audrey, establishing her presence in the reggae community. Her first solo single, "Creation" as Pam & Woody, and the duet "You Should Never Do That" with Tinga Stewart marked her initial breakthrough. Hall’s 1986 single "Dear Boopsie" topped reggae charts and reached number 54 on the UK Singles Chart, leading to her debut album Perfidia in 1987. Throughout the 1990s, she released Always Love You (1993), Missing You Baby (1995), and Magic (1996), among others, while collaborating with Toots Hibbert and Ziggy Marley and filling in for Judy Mowatt in the I Threes.
