Big Star was a South Korean boy band formed in 2012 by Brave Entertainment, comprising Feeldog, Baram, Raehwan, Sunghak and Jude. Their debut single "Bigstart" was released on 12 July 2012, followed by the EP Bigstart on the same day, marking their entry into the idol music scene. In the ensuing years the group issued the EPs Blossom (10 October 2012), Hang Out (8 August 2013) and Shine a Moonlight (4 September 2015), with the single "Standing Alone" (12 December 2013) gaining moderate chart attention. Big Star undertook extensive tours, including a series of 100 concerts in Japan, and performed at venues such as Yakult Hall and Akasaka Blitz. Their activities ceased after the group announced non-renewal of contracts on 12 July 2019, the day of their seventh anniversary, leading to their disbandment. The group’s career is noted for its rapid domestic and international touring schedule and its contribution to the early 2010s K‑pop wave.
