Sounds Like Sunset, an Australian musical group, was formed in August 1997 in Sydney. The band initially consisted of David Challinor on guitar, David Hobson on bass, and Rohan Geddes on drums. Their early recordings and live performances were influenced by drone/ noise/post-rock bands but quickly evolved into more melodic pop arrangements. In 2001, the group released their debut album Saturdays. They followed this with Invisible in 2005 and We Could Leave Tonight, released on vinyl through Tym Records on July 22, 2014, and digitally through Simon Tahiti Records on August 22, 2014. The band has also been involved in the Pretend Rugby League (PRL) competition under the name The Sounds Like Sunset Singletönes, achieving notable success including being Division 1 runners-up in 2006 and third place in 2007.
