Kingto

Kingto is an Argentine cumbia band from San Fernando (Buenos Aires Province) that grew out of sidewalk jam sessions in the San Rafael neighborhood, where school friends turned a casual hang into a working group under the guidance of manager Ezequiel Caminos (former Yerba Brava bassist). The lineup—vocalists and instrumentalists including Dylan González, Eliel Echeveste, Uriel Caminos, Thiago Gauna, Leonel Bordón, and Maximiliano Fernández—built an audience with live videos filmed in their barrio and, after signing with a label in 2024, began issuing official singles and performance clips. Their early wave included popular covers and originals such as “Maquillaje,” “La Pregunta,” and “Tu Silueta,” setting a bright, guitar-and-keys cumbia sound. A key breakthrough arrived in August 2024 with “El Pronóstico,” a joint single with Lira and DJ Ronel that later spawned a December 2024 remix featuring BM and Salastkbron, expanding Kingto’s reach beyond Argentina. Activity accelerated in 2025: the band released “Cumbia en la Vereda, Vol. 1 (No es Chamullo)” with Uruguayan singer El Reja and DJ Ronel, followed by medley-style singles “Mix Cumbiero: Amanece / Luna / Se Me Olvida” and “Mix Cumbiero 2 – Conmigo Te Gustó / El Precio de Tu Engaño / Quiero Saber de Ti,” which translated their street-corner origins into tight studio arrangements aimed at national playlists and regional stages. Alongside steady touring—including provincial dates like a Corrientes run—they positioned their “cumbia en la vereda” aesthetic as a new-generation update of neighborhood party music, connecting classic melodies with a youth-driven social-video presence.
