Maelyn Jarmon, born December 8, 1992 in Frisco, Texas, is an American singer. She grew up in Texas and later moved to New York City for nine years before receiving an invitation to audition for The Voice. Maelyn's breakthrough moment came when she entered the 16th season of The Voice in 2019. For her blind audition, she sang "Fields of Gold" by Sting, securing a spot on Team Legend coached by John Legend. She advanced through the competition and was announced as the winner on May 21, 2019. Following her victory, Maelyn signed with Republic Records and released The Complete Season 16 Collection (The Voice Performance) EP on May 31, 2019. On July 4, 2019, she performed the national anthem at A Capitol Fourth.
