Screaming Orphans are a pop/rock and folk band from Bundoran, County Donegal, Ireland, formed in 1995 by the Diver sisters: Joan, Angela, Gráinne, and Marie Thérèse. The group began performing with their mother Kathleen Fitzgerald before forming Screaming Orphans as teenagers. Their early career included touring with notable artists such as Sinéad O'Connor and Baaba Maal. They recorded their debut album Listen and Learn (2001) while signed to Warner UK (WEA). The band continued to release a series of albums, including Taproom (2017), which charted Number 1 in the iTunes World Music charts and top ten in the Billboard World Albums charts. Their subsequent releases such as Life in a Carnival (2019) and Sunshine And Moss (2020) also received critical acclaim and chart success, with Sunshine And Moss reaching number 4 in the iTunes Singer/Songwriter charts in the U.S. They released their first full Christmas album, Happy Christmas Vol. 1 (2021).
