Sister2Sister, an Australian music duo comprising sisters Christine Muscat and Sharon Muscat, was formed in 1999. The sisters were born on February 27, 1981, and August 23, 1984, respectively, to Maltese immigrants and grew up in the Sydney suburb of St. Clair. Their early background included training at Brent Street Studios, where they studied dancing and singing. This exposure led them to join the Brent St. Kids performance troupe and eventually attracted the attention of Tina Arena, who helped them secure a record deal. Sister2Sister's debut album One was released on June 12, 2000, through Mushroom Records, peaking at number 3 on the ARIA Albums Chart. The album featured two top 5 singles: "Sister" and "What's a Girl to Do?". At the ARIA Music Awards of 2000, "Sister" won Best Independent Release. In addition to their music career, Christine Muscat and Sharon Muscat also worked as television presenters on MTV Hits and opened the Sister2Sister School of Singing in 2004. They have performed as backing vocalists for Delta Goodrem on her Australian tours. The duo released their first new song in 23 years, "Nothing’s Gonna Bring Us Down Now", in August 2022.
