Zeeteah Silveta Massiah (born 24 December 1956 in Saint John, Barbados) is a singer who grew up in London and later established a career in electronic, reggae, jazz and house music. Zeeteah Silveta Massiah began recording in the early 1980s, releasing a reggae cover of "We Got A Good Thing Going" and subsequent singles for RG Records, while also performing as Chiffon in the London production of Little Shop of Horrors in 1984. Her breakthrough came in 1993 when she provided lead vocals for Arizona’s "Slide on the Rhythm", which reached Number 1 on the Billboard Dance Chart after being remixed by C&C Music Factory; the track was followed by "I Specialise in Love" and "This Is The Place", both charting in the United Kingdom. In 1994‑95 she toured globally with Tom Jones and collaborated with artists such as Phil Collins and Boy George. Zeeteah Silveta Massiah signed with Virgin Records, releasing the club hit "Sexual Prime" and the single "This Is The Place". She returned to the United Kingdom in 2012, releasing the live album Live In London (2013) and the studio album Juice (2014) produced by Paul Caplin. In 2022 she issued the reggae‑dance album Wat A Ting, and in 2024 launched the Caplin & Massiah project, preceded by new single "Dance to It".
