The Faceless

The Faceless is an American technical death metal band from Encino, Los Angeles, formed in 2004 by guitarist Michael Keene and bassist Brandon Giffin. They released their debut studio album, Akeldama, in 2006 and followed with Planetary Duality (2008), which reached number 119 on the Billboard 200. Following extensive lineup changes, they released Autotheism (2012), which peaked at number 50 on the Billboard 200 and reached Number 1 on CMJ radio charts. Keene remained the sole constant member as they issued their fourth album, In Becoming a Ghost (2017). Although most members quit in 2018, the group resumed activity with a new touring lineup. In 2022, James Dorton joined them as the lead vocalist.
