V?k (pronounced “Vik”) is an independent singer/songwriter, born and raised in Italy. His music’s intention is to use the power of pop to celebrate life in its good and bad, to make people feel united and understood through our differences and similarities. Embracing queerness, without being afraid of who you choose to love, his music is vibrant, humorous, conceptual and climactic.
Growing up in an international environment, at home and at school, he practiced languages such as German and English. This sparked a desire of wanting to reach everyone around the world with his music. By the age of 15 he was writing songs on piano and became self-taught in guitar and ukulele.
After graduating in Milan from a German school, V?k moved to the UK to pursue his music career
and explore various new genres and new realities to write about.
With different influences through genres like pop, acoustic-pop and soul, Shawn Mendes, Sam Smith and Sia are artists he mostly draws inspiration from. V?k always strives to make listeners feel like they are being welcomed into a safe space, as well as using discomfort to stimulate thought, conversation and action.
The first single, You Don't Know How to Love Me, off of his first ever song compilation was released on May 27th and will be succeeded by other singles and the EP in late summer 2021.
