"“Our lives are always centered around a feeling of uncertainty and swinging from stages of extreme euphoria and love to nihilism and discomfort. We cannot discern between private life and artistic success plus we integrate drama and strong feelings as much as possible in our everyday life. We are definitely true to ourselves and through our art.”
Hailing from all parts of Europe, Morioh Sonders sound is an expression of the eclectic personalities of each band member. The original duo of Alexy and Flavy came together in Italy in 2016, before meeting drummer Elijah and moving to Los Angeles where they began to develop their sound playing a string of shows. Until finally moving to Berlin in 2018 where they connected with bass player Samira. Shortly after moving to Berlin, Alexy and Flavy snuck backstage at Parcels show where they struck up a friendship with the bands producer Martin ‘Lucky’ Waschkowitsch. Without a home in the German capital and forced to live a transient lifestyle, the band lived in Lucky’s Kreuzberg studio where they produced their debut ( unreleased ) EP “Is This Psychedelia?”. Incorporating influences spanning 50 years of music, Morioh Sonders skill in songwriting brings together 50’s Surfer vibes, 60’s Psychedelia, 70’s Post Punk, 80’s Disco and 90's Brit Rock, encapsulating them into incredibly unique psychedelic indie pop, sitting somewhere between Tame Impala, Jungle and AIR. The groups debut single ‘I Want to Die on my Birthday’ taken from the aforementioned forthcoming EP, is set for release August 23rd. "
