Tommy Dator has been surrounded by music his entire life. With both of his parents being involved in the entertainment industry, many of his formative days were spent at Sound Lab Recording Studio in Greensboro, North Carolina. There began his knack for songwriting, leading to the start of his first band in 2016. The band eventually split, with Tommy pivoting his focus to solo projects. In 2018, Tommy released his debut EP “Sight Sound Touch”. He would then release the locally loved single “Pool House” in 2019.
Over the next 6 years, Tommy was hard at work on his first full-length album, “The Long and The Short Of It”. Featuring a mix of old songs and brand new tracks, Tommy’s debut album leans into his stylistic vision of noir pop, 2000s alternative rock, and electronically influenced indie psychedelic rock.
The newest single “The Long and The Short Of It” is out now.
