Davide Di Giovanni, aka Dave Davidson, musician, composer, lives in Palermo in Sicily.
Passionate retrowave producer.
Born in 1983 he immediately approaches in music when with his father he listened to the Beatles records on the sofa. He gets his first keyboard and starts playing those songs he grew up with. Self-taught multi-instrumentalist, he plays guitar, bass, drums and keyboards.
Member of several groups including "Sexymomo", "psychoprogpop" in French, with whom in 2004 he represented Sicily at the Arezzo Wave Love Festival, winning as the best Videoclip.
Towards the end of 2009 he founded the "SWA" an instrumental bass and drums and screams duo.
Since 2010 he plays keyboards in the canterbury-progressive group "Homunculus Res" well acclaimed by international critics.
"MS10 Volume One" and "MS10 Volume Two" created ONLY with the legendary KORG MS10, and the "MSD Volume Three" created with the Behringer Model D. A monophonic experience!
Recently he has approached the spatial sound of 80s synthesizers, creating several projects in Retrowave sauce. "Insert Coin" is a tribute to the wonderful world of arcades, a journey between platforms and space shooters in which he masters the wonderful groove box Novation Circuit, and "Analog July", where thanks to the collaboration of "Big City Studios" mastering, he immerses himself in increasingly spatial atmospheres.
