Brigitte Kobel, born on December 28, 1978 in Wünnewil‑Flamatt, Switzerland, is a Swiss pop singer known as Kisha. After signing with Ariola in 1998, she released the single "Why" in July of that year, entering the German and Swiss charts, followed by "Love Is Enough" that reached number 33 in Switzerland and served as the theme for the ARD series In aller Freundschaft. Her self‑titled debut album was issued in 1999, establishing her presence in the pop market. In 2001, she expanded into acting, portraying Hermine Frymann in the film Das Fähnlein der sieben Aufrechten under director Simon Aeby. Kobel returned to music with the English‑language album Crazy World in 2002 and later released Stoffwächsu in 2004, a work performed in Bernese German. After a period of reduced activity from 2007 to 2008, she announced a new album in a country‑influenced style and formed the trio C.H. (Country Helvetia) with Nori Rickenbacher and Reto Burrell, winning the Prix Walo for Country in 2012. In May 2014, she withdrew from public life and began working in a gift boutique while living in Fribourg.
