Sandy is a Canadian songwriter, author and former elementary teacher. Enjoyed by listeners of all ages, her music feeds the soul with lyrics about love, faith and hope. Her feel-good melodies span a variety of cultural rhythms and genres including gospel, pop, folk and jazz.
Sandy has written two gospel albums for kids and one for adults (Your Perfect Love). All three albums received Covenant Award nominations from the Gospel Music Association of Canada in 2015, 2017 and 2022. Performing vocalists include Michaela Burger, Ariel Smith, Sandy Baldwin, Andrew Smith, Jennifer Jade Kerr, Zoe Funk, Moana, Tanya Ovelson, Haylee Fait, Myla Fait, Jayda Bryant and Matthew Huston.
Her two singles, Our Melody of Love and Here Comes the Summer Rain, feature her own vocal with the jazz guitar of Producer, Andrew Smith.
All songs were written by Sandy with the exception of Who Is the King of the Jungle (Annie Spiers), Psalm 91 (Andrew Smith) and Whisper a Prayer (a traditional hymn). All albums were produced and recorded by Andrew Smith (Lake Studios, Kelowna, BC).
