Done Lying Down was a British-American rock group formed in 1993, originating from the United Kingdom. The band consisted of Jeremy Parker on vocals and guitar, Glenn Young on guitar, Ali Mac on bass guitar, and James Sherry on drums. Their first show took place in London in 1993, leading to their debut EP Heart of Dirt, which received critical acclaim, including being awarded Single of the Week from NME. In November 1994, Done Lying Down performed on BBC's Evening Session and recorded four Peel Sessions throughout their career. Their first full-length album, John Austin Rutledge, was released in 1994, followed by Kontrapunkt in 1996. Notable singles include "Family Values" (1994) and "Scared Too Stiff/Exposure" (1995). The band worked with producer Garret Lee to record a B-side for the Chumbawamba release "Amnesia" in 1997. Done Lying Down reformed for occasional gigs in 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2013.
