Anna Stella Schic was a Brazilian pianist born in 1922. She gave her first piano recital at age six. Schic studied under José Kliass before moving to Paris to train with Marguerite Long. She became known for her association with composer Heitor Villa-Lobos and premiered his musical piece “Concerto for Piano No. 2”. Her recordings included the album Complete Solo Piano Music of Heitor Villa-Lobos (1976). Schic taught at several institutions and founded a faculty of music in São Bernardo in 1980. She died in 2009.
