Scanners, an alternative rock band from London, England, was formed around 2004 by Matthew Mole and Sarah Daly. The duo initially played gigs backed by a drum machine before expanding their lineup with Amina Bates and Tom Hutt. Signed to Steve Aoki's Dim Mak label, Scanners released their debut album Violence Is Golden in 2006, followed by their first single "Raw". The band supported notable acts such as The Horrors and Devo, and toured extensively across the UK, Europe, and North America. Their second album, Submarine, was released in 2010, and their third album, Love Is Symmetry, was released in 2012.
