A leading figure in French R&B, Jalane first came to prominence when she duetted with Disiz La Peste on "Lettre ouverte " for the Taxi 2 soundtrack. Since then, with a handful of singles and a debut album in 2002, she has established herself as one of the most emblematic representatives of French R&B. Her long-awaited return to recording in 2010 with the album Jour J remains to be seen.
