Sweets (stylized as SweetS) is a Japanese girl group formed by Avex Trax in 2003. Comprising five members: Aki, Aya, Haruna, Miori, and Mai, the group made their debut the same year with the song "Lolita Strawberry in Summer," which reached number 23 on the charts and featured as the fourth ending theme to the anime television series Monkey Typhoon. Their second single, "Love Raspberry Juice," hit the shelves on November 19, 2003, followed by "Love Like Candy Floss," in February the following year. The singles peaked at number 28 and 26 respectively, seeing the group release their self-titled mini-album a month later, which peaked at number 35. Their fourth single, triple A-side "Growin' into Shinin'" / "Never Ending Story" / "Shochū Omimai Mōshiagemasu," released in June, 2004, peaked at number 19 with "Sky" following in November, which was used as the ending theme to the TV series Genseishin Justirisers. February 2, 2005 marked the release of the double A-side single "Countdown" / "Our Song (Wakare no Toki)," followed by their second mini-album, Keep On Movin', which reached number 56. The group unveiled their debut studio album, 5 Elements, in October, which peaked at number 50, preceded by singles "Mienai Tsubasa" and "Earthship (Uchūsen Chikyūgō)." “Bitter Sweets" appeared on the charts in March the following year at number 44, and the group announced their disbandment shortly after, releasing "Color of Tears" as their final single on June 7, 2006, which landed at number 60.
