Ileano Morelli, known professionally as Leano Morelli, was born in 1950 in Villa Minozzo, Reggio Emilia, Italy. Between 1976 and 1981, Morelli participated in the Sanremo Music Festival four times. Notable songs include "Cantare gridare sentirsi tutti uguali" presented at the 1978 Festivalbar, and "Io ti porterei", which peaked at seventh place on the Italian hit parade. Starting from the mid-1980s, Morelli focused on live performances and concerts. His album releases include Nata libera (1977), Leano Morelli (1978), Roma Londra Milano (1979), Dovevi amarmi così (1984), Il meglio (1995), and Leano Morelli canta i successi di Fabrizio De André (1998).
