Steven Michael Burns, also known as Steve Burns, was born on October 9, 1973, in Boyertown, Pennsylvania, and is an American actor, musician, and television host. After graduating from Boyertown Area Senior High School in 1992, he pursued theatre at DeSales University before relocating to New York City, where he found early work as a voice‑over artist and guest roles on Law & Order and Homicide: Life on the Street. His breakthrough came with the role of host on Blue’s Clues from 1996 to 2002, a position that earned him a Daytime Emmy nomination in 2001. In 2003, he released his debut album Songs for Dust Mites, produced by Dave Fridmann and featuring the track "Mighty Little Man", later used as the opening theme for Young Sheldon. He followed with Deep Sea Recovery Efforts (2009) as Steven Michael Burns and the Struggle, and in 2017 collaborated with Steven Drozd as STEVENSTEVEN on the children’s album Foreverywhere.
