Hi I’m Liz Nistico. Yes, I am the lead singer and writer of HOLYCHILD but now I am embarking on my solo career with Revenge Wife! My debut album will be out in 2021 and it explores relationships and trying to trust love. I’m shooting all the music videos now and they’re being shot like horror films. I’m directing and editing them myself. I’m obsessed with the concept of fear. Juxtaposing fear with love visually and seeing a parallel in what I feel.
Today over lunch my boyfriend looked at me and asked me if I feel like my art and life are a “meta” experience, because whatever I’m going through makes its way into some.. public forum. I guess it kind of does feel meta to me. I can’t separate life and art. What’s the difference? Is that a pretentious thing to say? I just mean.. I really draw on what I’m going through and I want to be honest about that. To a certain extent anyway. I only want to be honest until I’m mildly uncomfortable.. no more.
I have been pulling the 8 of Swords in all my tarot readings, a card that represents the pain we put ourselves through and the ability we have to walk away from it. I’m just trying to be a better and happier version of myself.
