Tiger HiFi was a German dub-reggae formation from Berlin, formed in 2006. The band consisted of vocalist Vido Jelashe, singer Olivia Christou, guitarist Peter Barton, and producer Kraans de Lutin, who had previously worked with the Berlin-based reggae artist Martin Jondo. Prior to their formation in 2006, the musicians served as remixers for artists such as Boundzound, Juli, and Culcha Candela. Tiger HiFi released their debut album Tiger Hifi in 2007 on Island Records, featuring cover versions of songs like "Music" by Madonna, "Hash Pipe" by Weezer, and "Fuck Forever" by The Babyshambles. In the same year, they embarked on a tour supporting reggae artist Gentleman. Their single "Get Your Island On" was released in 2009.
