Versus the World, a post-hardcore/pop punk music band from Santa Barbara, California, United States, was formed in 2005 by Donald Spence and Mike Davenport. The duo initially performed acoustic shows under the name Pencapchew before transitioning to Versus the World. Their debut album, Versus the World, was released on September 27, 2005. The band embarked on extensive tours across the United States and Europe, sharing stages with notable acts such as No Use For A Name and Social Distortion. In 2010, Versus the World returned with a new lineup featuring Chris Flippin and Bryan Charlson, releasing their second album Drink. Sing. Live. Love. on 2012. The band continued to tour extensively, including a major European tour in 2012. Their third album, Homesick / Roadsick, was released on June 23, 2015. The band returned with the album The Bastards Live Forever, in 2023.
