Super Unison was an American post-hardcore band formed in 2014, named after a song by Drive Like Jehu. The group consisted of Meghan O'Neil Pennie on vocals and bass, Kevin DeFranco on guitars, and Justin Renninger on drums. Super Unison's early material was described as "a weird intersection of Dischord Records and riot grrrl." The band released their self-titled EP Super Unison in 2015, followed by their debut studio album Auto through Deathwish Inc. in October 2016. Produced by Jack Shirley, Auto included the track "Broken", which addressed themes of self-preservation. Super Unison toured the US in support of the album and released the non-album single "Orchids" in September 2017 as part of Adult Swim's "Single Program." Their second studio album, Stella, was released through Deathwish on October 26, 2018. The band announced their dissolution in September 2019.
