Angel'in Heavy Syrup was a Japanese psychedelic rock band formed in 1990 in Osaka. The group emerged from the Japanese noise rock scene, drawing influences from krautrock bands like Amon Düül II and developing an ethereal neo-psychedelic sound rooted in psychedelic and progressive rock. Their debut album Angel'in Heavy Syrup was released in 1991, followed by II in April 1993, III in January 1995, and IV in October 1999. In March 2002, they released a compilation album titled The Best of Angel'in Heavy Syrup. The band went on hiatus after their last album in 2002. Notable achievements include IGN ranking their album III as the fifteenth best progressive rock album.
