Jung Taek-woon, known by his stage name Leo, is a South Korean singer, songwriter, and musical theatre actor, born on November 10, 1990, in Seoul, South Korea. He rose to fame as a member of the K-pop boy group VIXX, debuting in May 2012 with the single "Super Hero." Known for his powerful vocals and charismatic stage presence, Leo also ventured into acting, making his musical theatre debut in 2014 in Full House. He later starred in notable musicals such as Mata Hari, Monte Cristo, and The Last Kiss. In 2015, Leo expanded his career by forming VIXX’s first sub-unit, VIXX LR, alongside rapper Ravi. Their debut EP Beautiful Liar showcased Leo’s songwriting skills and solidified his reputation as a versatile artist. His solo career began in 2018 with the release of his first EP Canvas, followed by Muse in 2019, and Piano Man Op.9 in 2022. Despite his battles with anxiety and depression, Leo completed his military service as a public service worker from 2019 to 2021. After leaving Jellyfish Entertainment in 2024, he continues to pursue his career both as a soloist and with VIXX.
