Singer and actress Jessica Martin has been moving between theatre, film and music for years now.
As a singer-songwriter, she expresses her emotions through liberated lyrics written in French, Creole and English.
Her rich and varied musical style reflects her origins born in Saint-Denis (France-93) to a father from Guadeloupe and a mother from Martinique, her travels, the songs that have inspired her and those she has discovered, and her musical influences: Amy Winehouse, Miriam Makeba and Nina Simone, to name a few. Jessica Martin's music is at the crossroads of groove, soul, blues, French variety, world music and Creole ballads.
In 2019, determined to defend her unique musical universe, the singer went into self-production and produced a dozen singles. The following year, she released her first EP, "Mwen La" (I am here- in Martinique Creole), which attracted public interest and the attention of the local media.
In the midst of the global pandemic, the multi-disciplinary artist produced her first 13-track album, "DIAMOND", released in September 2021. This album, like many of her songs, focuses on self-love and self-esteem, assertiveness and resilience.
Her catalogue is vast and constantly evolving. Her music, her approach and her energy can all be summed up in one word: LIFE.
