De Press, a Polish-Norwegian rock/new wave band, was founded in Oslo, Norway, in 1980. The original lineup included Andrzej Dziubek (Andrej Nebb) on vocals and bass, Jørn Christensen on guitar, and Ola Snortheim on drums and percussion. Their first album, Block to Block, was released in 1981. The original group disbanded later that year, though they recorded a second album in 1982. They reunited in 1991. By 1995, Nebb was the only remaining original member. In the 1990s and early 2000s, De Press released several albums, including 3 Potocki (1991), Vodka Party (1993), and Śleboda (2000). Notable singles include “Pust Wiesegda” (2005), “Żre nas Konsumpcja” (2008), “Elektryczny baca” (2008), and “Katyń/Smoleńsk” (2010). With various lineups around Nebb, De Press continues to tour and release records, primarily in Poland.
