Valentina Romanski, known professionally as Valentine, was born on June 22, 1988, in Zwenkau, Germany. She is a singer and songwriter who began playing piano at a young age. Encouraged by Robert Gläser, the friend of her mother, she started writing her own songs at the age of 13. Her debut album Feel So Bad was released in 2005, featuring the single "Feel So Bad", which reached the German charts in June of that year. The follow-up album Ocean Full Of Tears, also released in 2005, peaked at number 26 on the German Album Charts and remained in the Top 100 for two months.
In September 2006, Valentine returned with her second studio album Blue Merry-Go-Round. The lead single "You & Me" reached number 81 but did not achieve significant radio or television airplay. In December of the same year, she released the download-only single "Why" From early 2010 to April 2013, Valentine toured with the stage production Der Traumzauberbaum, performing as the character "Waldwuffel." Her third album Love Like Gold was released in October 2010, featuring the single "Black Sheep", which reached number 30 on the German Single Charts and remained there for four weeks. The music video for "Black Sheep" won the drums.de Award for Music Video of the Year 2011.
Valentina has also collaborated with Axel Bosse, performing as a background singer and in duets during his Kranich-Tour. In January 2020, she released the single Stromschlag.
