Soziedad Alkoholika is a Spanish crossover thrash ensemble formed in 1988 in Vitoria-Gasteiz. The group consisted of Juan, Jimmy, Óskar, Roberto, and Iñaki. Originally named Amonal, the band released its first demo, Intoxikazión etílika, in 1990. Its eponymous debut studio recording, often referred to as the "black album," appeared in 1991. The ensemble's discography included Ratas (1995), which received a gold record for selling more than 50,000 copies in Spain. The band released Tiempos oscuros (2003) and Mala sangre (2008), the latter featuring collaborations with João Gordo and Violadores del Verso. In 2009, the group released Sesión #2, a regrabbed version of its debut. Later recordings included Cadenas de odio (2011), Sistema antisocial (2017), and Confrontación (2024). The ensemble sold more than 350,000 discs in Spain during its career. Mikel joined as the drummer in 2024.
