Minayo Watanabe, born on September 28, 1969, in Kitanagoya, Aichi Prefecture, is a Japanese idol and singer. She began her career by joining the pop group Onyanko Club in 1985, where she was assigned the number 29. She began her solo career after Onyanko Club disbanded in 1987. Her first full-length album, アルファルファ, was released in November 1986, followed by several other albums, including ホッピング (May 1987), フリル (December 1987), and My Boy -a summer place- (August 1988). Notable singles from her early career include "瞳に約束" (July 1986) and "TOO ADULT" (January 1987). She also ventured into acting, appearing in dramas and films during the 1990s. After a period of retirement, she returned to television with variety shows in the late 2000s.
