RORI

Real name Camille Gemoets, Rori is a Belgian singer born in the province of Liège in 1996. Her career began with the duo she formed at the age of sixteen with Valentin Vincent under the name Beffroi. The group produced the electro-pop singles " Swim" (2015) and "95-96 " (2017), which enabled her to play at the Ancienne Belgique in Brussels and at the Dour Festival. The death of Valentin Vincent at the age of 20 in 2017 put an end to the adventure. The singer then went solo under the name Rori, in reference to a character from the Gilmore Girls series, and teamed up with producer Hadrien Lavogez to release her first single "Gonna Get Mine " in 2020, followed the same year by another English-language track "Truth Hurts". Her first French-language single, "C'est la vie ", was released in 2021, but it was with her next single, "Docteur ", that she gained notoriety in 2022, when it reached number 14 in the Belgian Ultratop chart. The following year, "Ma place" peaked at number 11, before the release of the Ma Saison en Enfer EP, as much a reference to Arthur Rimbaud as to her chronically anxious lyrics. After appearing at Eurosonic Noordeslag in the Netherlands and other festivals such as Francofolies de Spa and Les Ardentes in Belgium, Rori took part as a juror on The Voice Belgique and collaborated with Lorie on a cover of her old song "Toute seule ". In 2025, she took to the stage at Rock en Seine and sang with Superbus on a new version of "Butterfly ". The same year sees the release of the Miroir EP, including the hit "Loser ", which reached No. 21 in the Ultratop chart.
