Ringgo 5 formed by May 5th 2015, and they’ve been best friends since elementary school. Before they named themselves Ringgo 5, they called themselves The Shift, but one thing to another they decided to named the band Ringgo 5.
Ringgo 5 came up from Obet’s idea on his way to rehearsal that actually stands from their nicknames, which are Rhein, Icad, Nara, Gege, and Obet.
Their 1st single called “Tell Me” back in 2015, from their debut EP “Tell Me” made to Top 10 Chart at iTunes Album Chart.
A year after that, they released another single called “Promise” from their album “Emotion”, made them nominated at 2017 Indonesia Choice Awards as Breakthrough Artist of The Year.
This year to kick off 2019, they’re releasing a brand new single called “U” by January 25th 2019.
Came up with the whole idea and try to write a continuous story from their previous EP, “U” will tell You about a young man who’s falling hard for love, and crazy but in the end He realized that the relationship is not going to work and deciding to break up and move on from his girlfriend.
Deliver with a simple lyrics that so sing along, and pack with an urban pop melody from the guitar and synth, plus the beat of drums make this single become so ear friendly and radio friendly.
By January 25th 2019 “U” is available on all Digital Stream Platforms and the music video on Ringgo 5’s Youtube channel. The music video itself quite describe about the teenage love story that perfectly fit to the song itself.
