Joydeep is an independent musician, singer-song writer, music composer and studio artist who has worked on award winning short films. He has worked on music genres like Blues, Rock ’n’ Roll and Hindi Film Music.
Born and raised in India, his initial music influence was from Hindi Films also know as Bollywood music. Later on, as he was exposed to more different genres, he got hooked to Blues Music which is close to his heart and deeply influence his guitar playing. He picked up the guitar at the age of seventeen. Initially learned the basic from his friends and on his own and then later on learnt under the guidance of his guru and mentor Late Mr. Tommy Khoo in Singapore.
Joydeep believes that music is a story telling medium. This story could be of love, heartbreak, a journey or simply a common person’s day-to-day life. Artists have a responsibility to narrate this story earnestly. He is a lifelong student of music.
