Scumbags is a punk rock band from Joinville-SC. Currently formed by José Farias (guitar and vocals), Christian Oliveira (drums and vocals), and Jorge Siementkowski (bass).
Founded in 2017, the group began playing in local venues with a repertoire that navigates through the history of punk rock from Ramones to blink-182 and has been contributing to the local scene ever since.
Scumbags' compositions reflect moments in the band members' lives and personal experiences, as well as addressing various themes with criticisms of society.
The band released their first album, "Sour Days," in May 2019 through Stormy Records.
After going through a period of hibernation during the 2020-2021 pandemic, in November 2021, the band returned with the release of the studio version of the song "Dreadlocks In The Alley," a lost hit from the album "Sour Days."
In 2022, the band began working on material for a new album. In July, they released the single "2020 Doesn't Count" and stated that they have new recordings that will be released in 2023.
