Moroccan-Canadian dancer, model, actor, singer, and producer Nora Fatehi was born on 6 February 1992 in Toronto, Canada, and is known best for her work in the Indian film industry, appearing in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam films. She made her acting debut in the 2014 Bollywood movie Roar: Tigers of the Sundarbans and began developing her voice further in films such as Temper, Baahubali: The Beginning, Kick 2, Double Barrel, and Kayamkulam Kochunni. Her singing career began to take shape in 2018 when she sang on a remake of the song "Dilbar" for Indian Hindi-language film Satyameva Jayate. She also collaborated with the Moroccan hip-hop group Fnaïre to release an Arabic version of "Dilbar", becoming the first African-Arab female artist to surpass one billion views on YouTube in February 2021. In October 2022, she saw her career reach an even bigger audience when she landed a spot on "Light The Sky", a song for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, collaborating with Grammy-winning Moroccan-Swedish producer and singer RedOne, along with artists Manal, Balqees, and Rahma Riad. The song shot to the top of the charts all over the world.
