Artista brasileiro inquieto por natureza, autêntico, cheio de energia em tudo que faz.
A restless Brazilian artist by nature, authentic, full of energy in everything he does, Fabiano Medeiros is a singer, actor and brings strength and drama to his interpretations, trademarks of his performances. One of his most praised performances had this mix of drama, in-tune singing and energy in the character in homage to Ney Matogrosso in the show “Cazuza, Pro dia nas happy – O musical”, watched and approved by Ney himself. In 2016, he was invited to take part in the second season of the musical “Rita Lee lives next door”, with Mel Lisboa in the main role, once again taking on the character “Ney Matogrosso”, now replacing Fabiano Augusto (actor from the first season).
Another memorable moment in his career was in 1997 when, at the invitation of Gabriel Villela, a renowned theater director, he was part of Milton Nascimento's show, "Tambores de Minas”. In addition to his participation as a backing vocalist, he was given a solo in the song "Caçador de mim”, accompanied by Milton Nascimento on guitar and vocals. His performance earned him valuable praise from several artists in addition to Milton himself. The show was televised on the Multishow channel and was released on DVD.
In January 2004 he released his solo album entitled “Achado” with songs by new and established composers such as: Milton Nascimento, Ronaldo Bastos, Carlos Careqa, Rodrigo Maranhão and Pedro Ayres Magalhães from the Portuguese group Madredeus. He spent a season at Centro Cultural Arte Clara (Jardim Botânico), and subsequently at Espaço Cultural Sérgio Porto in Rio. In São Paulo he performed at Sesc Ipiranga (Nova Safra Project of MPB São Paulo), Sesc Pompéia (Prata da Casa project) to which he was invited to reintroduce himself as one of the best of the season. It was the attraction at the opening of the 2004 Novo Canto project at Sesc Tijuca (Rio de Janeiro). The event presents a new talent sponsored by a great artist. In the case of Fabiano, Milton Nascimento had a special participation playing the piano, singing solo and in a duet with Fabiano.
In 2006 he began a new phase in his career, taking up residence in São Paulo. His show “Tropicália 4.0” in 2008 was a tribute to the tropicalista movement of 68 that broke with Brazilian musical boundaries and that of Fabiano Medeiros himself, deeply identifying with the tropicalist sound and ideas.
In 2013 and 2014, new seasons of his tropicalist show, now called “Tropicália é Preciso!” and the staging of a new show, “Divino Maravilhoso”, with songs from the repertoire of Ney Matogrosso and Gal Costa.
The year 2017 was marked by a series of shows commemorating 50 years of tropicalismo, with emphasis on the one held in October/2017 at the BNDES Cultural Space. The show was recorded for the “Cena Musical” program on TV Brasil. Also in 2017, he released the singles “Augusta, Angélica e Consolação” by Tom Zé, “Espumas ao vento” a song by Accioly Neto that was immortalized in the voices of Elza Soares and Fagner, a creative version of “Tropicália” by Caetano Veloso and the album “Tresloucado” with new songs and re-recordings.
“Telegrama”, this re-recording of a classic Brazilian song composed by Zeca Baleiro, earned him great praise for his interpretation and beautiful voice. The song received a music video recorded on Avenida Paulista, a symbol of the democratic meeting of representatives of Brazil's cultural diversity.
In the second half of 2020, amid the Covid-19 pandemic, he released the acoustic album "Especial" with songs from the repertoire of singer and composer Carlos Trevisan. In the Sequence, three new singles: "Sublime", a balm in the midst of lockdown with inspiring and motivational lyrics, "Bicho Exquisito", a reference to Fabiano himself that brought a blues/pop/rock atmosphere and the single "Tempo Escuro" , an unreleased composition by Zeca Baleiro, with the participation of Zeca himself alongside Fabiano Medeiros. These singles featured Willy Verdaguer, bassist for Secos & Molhados and Raíces de América.
Restless mind, in the first half of 2021 he prepared an online season for the show “Tropicália, é Preciso!” and then entered the studio for the “Vertigem” project.
Vertigem, the new album of new songs by singer Fabiano Medeiros is a profound work, full of emotional colors with the challenge of presenting a timeless sound. The track “Vertigem", for example, has the feeling of a twist in just the right amount. A super elaborate and exciting arrangement, with the bass having fun and the slightly psychedelic guitars giving a bewildering tone, but at the same time very cohesive. “Clarão" is light and nostalgic, with a beautiful guitar timbre and a composition that was clearly written with the soul, whereas in “Medo de Break” elements such as the flamenco guitar, the phrasing of the bass and the energy of the drums set the perfect tone for the song. strong melody and lyrics, not to mention the timbre of Fabiano's voice that reminds us a lot of Ney Matogrosso. The track “Despertar” is light, intimate and has a beautiful guitar tone that lulls us like a lullaby. “Against the Common” has a visceral interpretation, where Fabiano Medeiros conveys undeniable truth with his voice.
