What started as a close friendship between two music-obsessed talents from Maastricht has
grown into one of the Netherlands’ most successful DJ duos: Lucas & Steve. Their career
took off when their remix of Ruffneck – Everybody Be Somebody reached No. 1 on the
Beatport charts. That breakout moment caught the attention of Spinnin’ Records, leading to
their first official signing and served as a launchpad for everything that followed.
For over ten years, the duo has brought their signature energy to dancefloors and
mainstages around the world. With performances at Tomorrowland, Ultra and Creamfields,
collaborations with Tiësto, Afrojack, Steve Aoki, Armin van Buuren and Blackstreet, and
releases on Spinnin’ Records, Lucas & Steve have firmly cemented their place in global
dance music.
Their music flows in two distinct directions: on one side, the melodic, radio-friendly hits like
Heart First and Something Like Magic; on the other, raw club weapons like Zenless,
Morumbi and Lift Me Up, regularly charting in the top 3 of 1001Tracklists' most-played
festival tracks. This duality between pop-leaning anthems and underground energy defines
their broad appeal.
Official remixes for David Guetta, Kygo and Robin Schulz, their debut album Letters to
Remember (Edison Award-winning), and over a billion global streams speak to their strength
not just as DJs, but as songwriters and producers. Their high-octane live shows, praised by
DJ Mag, continue to captivate crowds across continents.
Lucas & Steve are a rare duo: creatively in sync, technically sharp, and still the best of
friends. Ten years in and it’s clear: these two are just getting warmed up.
