Whispering is my ferm call for softness.
Hi, I'm Jan. When I was 5 years old I started writing music at the piano in the living room. And I never stopped. Creating music has always been the way for me to express my emotions. From teenage heartbreaks to grown-up stuff. I hope these emotions come across when you listen to my music and that you will find joy, comfort, and wonder when you listen to my songs.
After studying at the conservatory in Tilburg and Rotterdam I wrote music and songs for theater, musical, TV, and Dutch artists besides writing my own songs and compositions.
I got nominated for 2 musical awards and the Willem Wilmink prize for best children's song of 2021.
My debut EP Quiet Deliberations is a call for softness. Softness towards others, and yourself. A chance to let your mind rest and see where the music brings you. I am honored to invite you to deliberate with me.
