Raúl Hurtado is a singer-songwriter from Colombia of Pop/Rock songs.
He initiated his career in 2015 after releasing his first self-produced album, Songs from my Childhood, a compilation of songs composed from the ages of 12 to 17. His music combines classic rock and pop with elements of electronic music, folk, and even jazz.
Music has always surrounded Raúl's life. All the way from his childhood, when he began playing the guitar, to his late 30s, Raúl has never stopped composing. And, although different circumstances have often taken him away from music, Raúl has grown to become a songwriter who writes lyrics that explore the core of the human condition.
His first album, Songs from my Childhood (2015), includes songs about different challenges in a person's life and how these are connected to our relationship with others. His second album, Inner Road to Somewhere (2020), is a collection of songs about the interior path that leads to having an intimate relationship with Jesus.
In Spiridelia (2021), Raúl tries to establish his own sound, a sound he describes as "spiridelic"—a term that describes the mixture between the ethereal sound of his music and his spiritual lyrics.
Raúl's musical journey has also taken him to compose music for film & television, copyright free music and electronic songs, some of which can be found in the "Music" and "Media" sections on his website www.raulhurtado.com.
