Like the best storytellers, Jax Fontane found his voice by learning to listen—to the places he traveled, the people he met, and ultimately, to himself.
He initially channeled these experiences into writing before discovering the dynamic nature of music. 'What I like about music is that it's to the point & you can bring it anywhere,' he reflects. 'You can play a beat, go for a walk & write a song. But writing a book is different—you're kind of just at the desk.'
His creative universe, 12 Below, represents the space between life's extremes—pain, pleasure, and peace—where facades crumble and growth happens. Through introspective hip-hop and melodic storytelling, Fontane transforms personal journey into universal themes, creating music that resonates with those navigating the path between who they were, who they are, and who they're becoming.
