It was during the period of confinement, when culture came to a standstill, that the Bergamo Tribù was born in the minds of RAff AGOSTI (Amoul Solo) and Enrico Greppi (La Bandabardò).
The 2 artists had the idea of creating this project around the story of "Martha and Bepì", Raff's grandparents who emigrated to France after the Second World War. "If all roads lead to Rome, ours started in Bergamo and took a number of byways to get here. In the course of this journey there have been detours, contours, returns, joys and sorrows.... but above all there have been encounters that have enabled us to move forward and continue this movement initiated by our Italian forebears."
And so the Bergamo tribe was born, a handful of simple, freedom-loving people with the same desire to share, music and life. A tribe that, wherever it goes, leaves a bit of its soul behind, leaving behind joy and gladness. Her music, carried by a gypsy guitar, connects us to the past and to the diversity of those who were called "rital" and links the French and Italian cultures with swinging, festive rhythms. Life is movement, so the life of the Bergamo tribe is nomadic. Five musicians, leaders of this tribe, come to tell us their story and their desires. Their songs, sung in French and Italian, tell of their journey, the roots of an entire people and their hopes, like a generational passing of the baton.
