Singa, 24 years old, is an artist from Lille, France. With a jazz pianist father and a mother in love with Rumba, he was immersed in the Afro-American culture of the 60's (Herbie Hancock, John Coltrane, Thelonious Monk...) and world music (Youssou N'Dour and Salif Keita among others) during a large part of his childhood. He is currently influenced by the new wave of afro hip-hop music worldwide with artists like Amaarae or Cruel Santino.
As a teenager, he practiced drums and percussions and then discovered rap. His passion for this discipline pushes him to compose. In June 2016, he installs a home studio in the garage of his parents' house to record his first demos.
In September 2019, after unveiling several tracks on SoundCloud, he decides to launch the independent label Interlude Maison Musicale alongside his loyal friend and associate Saach (Dj/Producer from Lille). His first 12-track studio project entitled Penrose sees the light of day on November 6, 2019. Mixing catchy refrains and Ego Trip passages, it reveals Singa's introspective landscape, exposing his loves and sorrows.
