NURK started in Austin, Texas as a solo side project of The Seas. Since re-locating to Spain, NURK has joined forces with other musicians from the USA, Spain, France, and Australia, including Tommy DeWolfe from Camellos.
NURK’s style has been described as witty and dreamy, with songs moving easily between sexually-explicit rock and dark, romantic ballads.
After some lo-fi recordings and underground shows around Europe, NURK released the independent pop album ‘Easy Installations’ in 2012. The surrealist rocker ‘Season One’ followed in 2018. Starting in 2020, there has been a string of diverse singles released from recordings made in Warsaw (Poland), Austin, and Madrid.
The last release, God Is an EP, came out April 2022 and featured four new songs, including a soulful collaboration with singer Brequette. A neo-dadaist video for the first track, “God Is a Song”, was made by Hamburg artist baroninvonsenden.
This September the next single "It Still Stings" will be available worldwide.
