Phreeborn, is a Nigerian recording artist, and songwriter, Originally from Lagos, Nigeria and currently living in Santa Cruz, California, sings about his experiences in real-time, music is a form of medication and healing done through dancing which is accomplished by combining his rich mellow vocals, outstanding lyricism, unique melody and up-tempo Afro beats while retaining the authenticity of Afrobeats elements to his creative process, with no compromise to his art or vision his passionate desire is to spread love and joy through his music.
He completed his basic education in Warri and graduated from UNIBEN (University of Benin) with a bachelor degree certification in Science Laboratory Technology for his college education.
Phreeborn launched his music career as an Afrobeats sensation in an unintentional fashion in November 2019 with a debut single themed “GoodTimes”, a song about positivity and living the best of one's life having and missing beloved and loved ones. Furthermore released “Cubana” a song that celebrates and talks about living a fulfilled and desired life. In 2021 Phreeborn debuted his first Extended play (Ep) titled “Aphro Love '' an unprovocative new album that introduced him into the music industry radar with a provisional swaying rhythm and genre-fusion of RnB and afropop elementarily afrobeats with thoughtful, romantic lyrics projecting listeners to trace a path back to the need of duality with a sexual opposition. Charting top 10 on Audiomack, Trending Top 10 on Boomplay and garnered over 400,000 thousand streams across all digital streaming platforms. In January 2022 Phreeborn released a three track extended playlist theme “While We Wait, Vol 1” a music release series to highlight his journey to stardom and prepare and propel his listeners of what is to come. The sound design on “While We Wait, Vol. 1” is rich in vibes and melodies deeply rooted in the very elements of Afrobeats - groovy percussion and horns. While, the lyricism and songwriting on each of the tracks on the EP has substance, conveying insights into the thought train of the songwriter. While we wait garnered about 100,000 (hundred thousand) streams across all digital streaming platforms, and featured on “Best Of The Week” on Audiomack. These releases played a very important and significant role in his career and evolution into a complete musician.
