Pedro Rocha, from Brasilia, had his first contact with music at age 11 when he began studying Brazilian popular guitar; the passion for the incredible sound of this instrument came immediately. A few years latter, he studied violin and participated in the school’s choirs, that's when he began to study classical guitar.
In 2007, he joined the University of Brasília, obtaining a bachelor's degree in music in 2011 under the supervision of Professor Eustáquio Grilo; he was also a student of Professor Eduardo Meirinhos.
In 2013 he moved to France to continue his studies. He studied at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Départemental de L'Haÿ-les-Roses where he obtained his degree in musical studies under the guidance of Professor Tania Chagnot.
In 2018, he entered the Sorbonne University, where he obtained his master degree in musicology in 2020 under the supervision of Philippe Cathé. The subject of his treatise being the Twelve Studies for guitar by Heitor Villa-Lobos.
He is currently teaching guitar at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Communal de Grigny in the Paris region.
